Azorus Recruitment Management System Selected for use by Washington State Colleges

Azorus Inc., a software and services company providing sophisticated e-recruitment tools to the higher education market announced today that the company has been awarded the contract for the State of Washington's 34 community & technical colleges on an optional use basis. After a rigorous three-month vendor evaluation process, Azorus was chosen out of a field of 12 vendors to make its services available under this contract.

A group of colleges formed a committee to determine what was required to assist the schools going forward from a recruitment perspective. Vendors who responded to the RFP were evaluated using a detailed scorecard system. Azorus received the highest overall score.

Azorus CEO Stephen MacDonald is very pleased by the outcome. "This contract is a testament to our reputation as a company serving colleges & universities," says MacDonald. "We have worked very hard over the last few years to ensure our software meets the needs of the higher education market. We are proud of our level of customer care, which enables us to create and maintain critical and long lasting relationships with our clients. The due diligence process exercised by the state was tough but fair, and now we are extremely excited to start working with the State's colleges."

Jack Huls, VP of Student Services for Peninsula College, was chair of the vendor evaluation committee. "The Azorus solution gives us incredible flexibility to reach our varied audiences, and also represents a platform on which we intend to build future functionality."

Having seen what Azorus has done, Huls says he believes the committee made the right choice. "The technology that Azorus provides allows us to reach and interact with students on a one-to-one basis - something that otherwise would not be possible."

The State of Washington’s community and technical colleges serve almost 500,000 students from all parts of the state and offer students a vast array of educational options.

Azorus works with colleges and universities of all types and sizes throughout North America and is currently expanding its presence to the UK and Europe.
